It’s official: as of midnight on June 25, 2026, GTA 6 is up for pre-order. Rockstar settled on two editions, a $79.99 Standard and a $99.99 Ultimate, with no physical collector’s edition. Every pre-order unlocks the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital adds a free month of GTA+. Here’s the breakdown of what you’re really buying.

Two editions, two prices, and no collector’s edition

After months of silence on pricing, Rockstar made a clean call: there will be only two editions. The Standard lands at $79.99, available both boxed and digital. The Ultimate Edition climbs to $99.99, but only as a digital release, with no physical counterpart.

The real headline is what’s missing. No mid-tier Deluxe, no collector’s box with a steelbook or figurine, despite what the studio’s track record might have led you to expect. For reference, GTA V launched at $59.99 in 2013 and Red Dead Redemption 2 at the same price in 2018: bumping the standard up to $79.99 cements the shift of Rockstar’s blockbusters into the $80 tier. The symbolic $100 threshold does exist, but it’s reserved for the Ultimate, not the base game. We saw this debate coming in our GTA 6 price analysis, and our editions guide actually banked on a three-tier setup that Rockstar ultimately passed on.

What the Ultimate Edition actually includes

The $20 gap doesn’t just buy you a badge. The Ultimate Edition bundles a collection of premium vehicles, weapons and outfits woven throughout Jason and Lucia’s adventure, rather than handed over as a one-time starter loot bag. In the garage, you get Jason’s Dinka Enduro motorcycle, the ‘67 Vapid Dominator buggy, the ‘90s-styled ‘95 Grotti Cheetah sports car, a Crest kayak and the Shitzu Squalo boat. The buggy comes with the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, complete with a weapons locker and a stash for your belongings.

On the arsenal side, the edition adds the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers engraved with palm trees, plus customized variants of each hero’s pistols. Here’s how the two tiers stack up.

The Vintage Vice City Pack, free with every pre-order

Good news for anyone eyeing the Standard: the most tempting bonus is shared across both editions. The Vintage Vice City Pack rewards every pre-order, or any purchase before November 20, 2026. Its vibe, as Rockstar puts it, harks back to when the neon shone brightest.

On the menu: the two-tone ‘55 Vapid Stanier sedan and its garage, the Shore Court Garage near Ocean Beach, a pastel linen suit for Jason and a red sequined dress for Lucia, period hairstyles included, plus a tropical pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s palm-tree shirt that you can apply to most weapons. An unabashed nod to 1986 Vice City, whose DNA runs through all of Grand Theft Auto VI.

Digital pre-orders add a free month of GTA+. Worth noting, and it’s a subtlety the announcements gloss over: GTA 6 ships as a single-player game, with no online mode at launch. So that month of GTA+ applies to the current GTA Online ecosystem, not some hypothetical GTA 6 online. If the subscription intrigues you, we put it under the microscope in our GTA+ review.

Digital, boxed, preload: how to pre-order

Pre-orders opened at midnight local time on the PlayStation Store (PS5 and PS5 Pro), the Microsoft Store (Xbox Series X|S), the Rockstar Store and at the usual retailers. The November 19, 2026 release date is confirmed.

The schedule has one quirk. Digital players will be able to preload starting November 12 to play at midnight on the 19th. The boxed version also arrives November 12, but heads up: it contains no disc, just a download code to redeem on the console. Standard or Ultimate, the full download is unavoidable either way. To keep up with the next steps before launch, keep an eye on our pre-order tracker and the GTA 6 release date. And for everything about the duo you’ll play as, head to our feature on Jason and Lucia.

What's included in the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?

A collection of premium items woven into Jason and Lucia's story: exclusive vehicles (the Dinka Enduro motorcycle, the '67 Vapid Dominator buggy, the '95 Grotti Cheetah sports car, a Crest kayak and the Shitzu Squalo boat), access to the Paradise Garage with a weapons locker and a safehouse, and customized weapons like the palm-tree-engraved Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers.

How do I get the Vintage Vice City Pack?

Just pre-order, or buy GTA 6 before November 20, 2026. The pack includes the classic '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and its garage in Ocean Beach, '80s outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, plus a tropical pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti's palm-tree shirt for most weapons.

Is there a PC version of GTA 6 to pre-order?
